Both Israel and NZ are renowned for their inventiveness and tenacity when it comes to developing solutions for food production systems. Yet each agritech ecosystem is grounded in their own unique knowledge frameworks. Agritech innovators in both countries have a lot to learn from each other; the potential to find common ground in supporting rising global market demand is huge.

His Excellency Ran Yaakoby serves as Ambassador of Israel to New Zealand and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Cook Islands, Samoa and Tonga. Prior to his appointment to New Zealand, His Excellency Ran Yaakoby served as Director for Combating Antisemitism and for Holocaust Remembrance at the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also served as Minister-Counsellor to Germany – Berlin (2011-2016), Deputy Ambassador to Sweden – Stockholm (2003-2007), and Deputy Consul General & Charge' d'affairs to Brazil – Sao Paulo (1996-2001).
